          Day -93. “Om Shri Sai Purushottamaaya Namaha.”

Meaning:

Humble salutation to Him who is the supreme human being(Purush) . (Shirdi Sai Trust).

Meditation:

In Bhagvad Gita (Ch:15 Slokas 16-19) Bhagwan Krishna says :

“16.There are two Purus in the world, associated respectively with the perishable and the Imperishable. All the perishable aspects belong to the former, and the eternal aspects to the latter.

    17. "But distinct from these two and above them both is the Supreme Purusha called the Universal Self, who as the Indestructible Lord pervades the three worlds and sustains them.

     18. "Because I transcend the perishable and even the Imperishable as well, I am known in the world and also in the Vedas as Purushottama, the Supreme Person.

     19. "O Bharata, he who, undeluded, knows Me as Purushottama, knows all, and he worships Me with all his heart.”

The one who realised the self and identified himself with the Brahmam, God or Guru becomes “Purushottama  ” the Supreme person.  He knows all, transcends the perishable and imperishable.  The power to transcend the Time and Space comes to him as the Purushottama.  He becomes “ Trikal Gnani” seeing the past, present and future at will and thus becomes one with Infinity. Purushottama the Supreme Person, who is one with Brahmam, God or Guru, can see the journey of the devotees through their endless cycles of births and deaths and happenings in their lives. He is aware of the Self and possesses universal knowledge (Omniscient), can be present anywhere anytime (Omni present) and all powerful (Omnipotent).

One old lady by name Radhabai Deshmukh came to Baba. Having taken darshan, she returned to her room and decided to fast unto death unless Baba accepted her as His disciple and gave her Mantropadesh.  Hemadpant appealed for Baba’s mercy and talk to the lady. Baba sent for the lady and advised her not to torture herself telling her His story.

Baba said:” I resorted to My Guru for 12 years. He brought Me up. There was no dearth of food and clothing. He was full of love or say, he was love incarnate. How can I describe it? He loved Me most. Rare is a Guru like him. When I looked at him, he seemed as if he was in deep meditation and then, we both were filled with bliss. Night and day, I gazed at him, with no thought of hunger and thirst. Without him, I felt restless. I had no other subject to meditate upon, nor any other thing than My Guru to attend. He was My sole refuge. My mind was always fixed on him. This Nishtha (firm faith) is one paisa of Dakshina. Saburi (Patience or perseverance) is the other paisa. I waited patiently and served My Guru. This Saburi will ferry you across the sea of this mundane existence. Saburi removes all sins and afflictions, gets rid of calamities in various ways, and casts aside all fear, and ultimately, gives you success. Saburi is the mine of virtues, consort of good thought”. Nishtha (faith) and Saburi (patience) are like twins sisters, loving each other very intimately.

“My Guru never expected any other thing from Me. He never neglected Me, but protected Me at all times. I lived with him and was sometimes away from him still I never felt the absence of his love. He always protected Me by his glance, just as the tortoise feeds her young ones, whether they are near her or away from her on the other side of the bank, by her loving glance. Oh mother, My Guru never taught Me any Mantra then, how shall I blow any Mantra in your ears? Just remember that Guru’s tortoise- like loving glance gives us happiness. Do not try to get Mantra or Upadesh from anybody, Make Me the sole object of your thoughts and actions and you will, no doubt, attain Parmartha ( the spiritual goal of life). Look at Me whole- heartedly and I, in turn, look at you. Sitting in this Masjid, I speak the truth, nothing but the truth. No Sadhana or proficiency in the six Shastras is necessary. Have faith and confidence in your Guru. Believe that, Guru is the sole Actor or Doer. Blesses is he, who knows the greatness of his Guru and thinks him to be Hari, and Brahma (Trimurti) Incarnate”. (Shri Sai Satcharita-Ch: 18&19).                             

He is so caring and loving the devotee who calls him for help irrespective of time and place.  Took their pains on Himself. So great He was and yet lived a life on bare minimum of worldly requirements.  Gnani for a Gnani, Guru for a Shishya, God for a devotee, Brahmam for one who realised.  He is Purushottamaya.
