Shirdi Sai Ashtotramala – Meaning, Meditation and Miracle

Day-28. “Om Shri Sai Marga Baandhavaaya Namaha.”
Meaning:
Humble salutation to the one who accompanies us through this journey of life. (Shirdi Sai Trust).

Meditation:
From cradle to grave, life is a journey for all those who take birth. Even avatars like Rama and Krishna just go through their journey completely.  Mother, Father, relatives, teachers, friends, colleagues, wife, husband, children, all come, in our lives, play their roles, and at some time we part depending on the time, necessities, circumstances, emotions, events. We go through ups and downs in our lives. We experience all the nine types of feelings, may be a couple of feelings more frequently, depending on our personalities and circumstances. There is no one who can continue this journey forever. The journey has to come to an end one day for all. While the journey of the Atman continues, the journey of this birth comes to an end. When one is past the peak of the journey, when one starts feeling tired of this journey one reflects on the journey. Thinks of all those who joined for some time and have dropped off or moved away. The transient nature of companionship stands out clearly. No relationship seems to be everlasting.
But for the one who has been blessed with the devotion to God, he feels, he has always been walking by the side of God. He feels the companionship  God gives is permanent, true, and will be lasting even after this journey ends, and will continue in the next journey. The devotee feels reassured, and continues the journey without fear or burden but with bliss. The one, who identifies the Guru with God, feels the Guru is the companion throughout.
Mr. Nanasaheb Nimonkar, Watandar of Nimon and Honorary magistrate, was staying at Shirdi with his wife, they were spending most of their time in the Masjid with Baba and serving Him. It so happened, that their son fell ill at Belapur and the mother decided, with Baba’s consent, to go to Belapur and see her son and other relatives, and stay there for a few days, but Mr.Nanasaheb asked her to return the next day. The lady was in a fix and did not know, what to do, but her God Sai came to her help. While leaving Shirdi, she went to Baba, Who was standing in front of Sathe’s wada with Mr.Nanasaheb and others, and prostrated at His Feet and asked His permission to go.  Baba said to her,” Go, go quickly, be calm and unperturbed. Stay comfortably at Belapur for four days! See all your relatives then return to Shirdi!” How opportune were Baba’s words! Mr. Nanasaheb’s proposal was overruled by Baba’s decree.( Shri Sai Satcharita Ch: 12).
Baba said, “Be wherever you like, do whatever you choose, remember this well that, all what you do is known to Me. I am the Inner Ruler of all and seated in your hearts. I envelope all the creatures, the movable and immovable world. I am the Controller- the Wire- puller of the show of this universe. I am the Mother- origin of all beings- the Harmony of three Gunas, the Propeller of all senses, the Creator, Preserver and Destroyer. Nothing will harm him, who turns his attention towards Me, but Maya will lash or whip him, who forgets Me. All the insects, ants, the visible, movable and immovable world, is My body or form”. (Shri Sai Satcharita Ch: 3).
He accompanies His devotees throughout the journey of their lives, taking care

of them, comforting them. He is Marga Baandhavaaya.
