Day-31. “Om Shri Sai Preethi Vardhanaaya Namaha.”

Meaning:

Humble salutation to the one who grants an ability for limitless love.(Shirdi Sai Trust).

Meditation:

For a devotee who wants to admire and love God the whole world is full of wonders. For Him the birds that migrate thousands of kilometers with accurate navigation, without any equipment are wonders created by God. For Him germination of a seed is a reason to love God. The flowers that blossom in

With multitudes of shades, shapes and fragrances remind him the great hand that creates them. When he understands the enormity of the cosmic dance awe and love for God fills his heart. The very admiration of this great Intelligence makes the devoted ones, develop a deep rooted love for the one who created the creations and also the love for His creations. The devotee reaches a stage in which he sees God in everything and anything and loves Him. His heart is full of that sublime love to admire the Brahman, different from the love for possessions. It is Brahman, God or Guru who can generate this all pervading universal and limitless love in the heart of the devotee. That is the reason God is considered as love itself and so the saying “God is love.”

Shri Tatya Saheb Noolkar was a   sceptic having no belief in God and Saints.    He was a Sub-Judge at   Pandharpur in 1909.  At that time Shri Nanasaheb Chandorkar was Mamlatdar at Pandharpur. He used to meet Noolkar often and requested   him to go to   Shirdi for Baba's darshan.   After  prolonged request,  he accepted to visit Shirdi on condition   that he  require a brahmin cook, a basket  of Nagpur oranges for   presentation, he won't remove his pant and shoes at the  time of Baba's darshan and that  he   won't bow   to Baba.   Nanasaheb Chandorkar accepted to these conditions. A brahmin cook came to   Nanasaheb Chandorkar and   he sent him to Noolkar.    A basket full of   Nagpur oranges   arrived in Noolkar's name and the sender’s name   not known. After these   conditions   fulfilled,   both   have   gone to Shirdi.

When Noolkar saw Baba from a distance, he hesitated to go with shoes and pant. He removed them and gone to Baba for darshan. On seeing Noolkar, Baba asked Nanasaheb Chandorkar "How you have brought this mad man to me"

On the second day, they came to Baba for darshan.    On seeing Noolkar, Baba scolded him and pushed him   to a pillar nearby and drove   him away   from that   place.       Noolkar asked Chandorkar as to why Baba scolded him. Chandorkar told   that Baba has scolded Noolkar’s bad time  and it   would   go away by Baba’s scolding’s. Baba was very kind at heart and that Baba would never harm anybody.   He would always help His devotees. On the same night at about 2 a.m.  Noolkar awakened to chew betel and betel nut.    But   there   was   no betel leaf and betel nut with him.    He woke Chandorkar and requested for betel and betel nut.    Chandorkar told that as it was dead of night, no betel and betel nut was available then and requested Noolkar to sleep.

At the same time a devotee  came  with betel leaf and betel nut.  Originally he had brought the betal leaf and betal nut to Baba as offerings. But Baba turned him away saying that he may go to Sathe's wada and handover them to  the person who needed it badly. So the devotee came to them handed-over it to Noolkar and went away.    After hearing   the words of Baba from the devotee regarding this incident, Noolkar was overwhelmed with   affection   for Baba and realised that Baba   was not an ordinary   soul.     He was omnipotent.   On the 3rd day, when Noolkar  came to Baba for  darshan and   worship,    Baba  asked him to worship    a pillar  pointing   to it  in    Dwara-kamayee. Noolkar   accepted   and   enquired   Madhav Rao about this.   Madhav Rao told Baba "Deva Why do Noolkar worship the pillar when you are bodily here?" Baba told that that was a puzzle for   Madhav Rao, Nanasaheb Chandorkar and Noolkar to understand.     Madhavarao   perused the   panchangam   and   came to know that day was Guru Poornima day.    All requested Baba’s permission that as the day was the Guru Poornima day they would worship Baba as their Guru.    Baba yielded to their   request.    From that day onwards, and it is on account of this Noolkar, devotees began to worship Baba on Guru Poornima day. A non believer in God, Noolkar became a true devotee of Baba, who filled his heart with Love. Baba did not permit Noolkar to go away from Shirdi. Noolkar stayed in Shirdi till his death.  Baba on hearing Noolkar’s death said he will not be reborn.

He fills the hearts of devotees with limitless love. He is Preeti Vardhanaaya.
