Day - 24: “Om Shri Sai Riddhi Siddhi Daya Namaha.”

            

Meaning: 

Humble salutation to the one who grants Knowledge, Physique, power and Self- realisation. 

Meaning: 

Acquiring knowledge is to know what one did not know already.

To acquire knowledge in any field one has to recognize and know his ignorance of that field and seek to remove that ignorance by seeking knowledge. Knowledge in any field can be infinite for the seeker. The more knowledgeable one becomes, the more one knows about the remaining unexplored areas, or in other words the ignorance in that area.

Knowledge of Self which is integral part of Brahmam is also acquired by the desire to realize the Self. Universe is the manifestation of Brahmam. The one, who knows the self, knows Brahmam and thus has universal knowledge. Thus Brahmam gives the Universal knowledge through self realization. This is the reason Saints who had the Self realization in the true sense cross the limitations of Space and Time in the Universe and become Omniscient, Omnipotent and omnipresent having identified themselves with Brahmam.

A rich man came to see Baba.  He was seeking Brahma Gnan or Self Realization from Baba. Baba in his presence three times sent one of his attendants to borrow Five rupees from somebody.  All the three times the attendant came back without success. This was being watched by the rich man but he kept quite all the time while having a roll of currency in his pocket.

Baba gave a discourse listing the 10 pre requisites to achieve Self Realization.  They were:

1.   Mumukshu (intense desire to get free)

2.   Virakthi (Non Attachment)

3.   Antarmukha (Introversion)

4.   Catharsis (Removing bad emotions)

5.   Right Conduct

6.   Shreyas (the good) instead of Preyas(pleasures)

7.   Control of the mind and the senses

8.   Purification of the mind

9.   Seeking a Guru

10.        God’s Grace

 Baba then asked the rich man to take his wad of currency from the pocket and said that there was an amount Fifty times of the Five Rupees (Rs.250). The rich man took the wad and there were 25 notes of Rs.10/- Baba said to have Brahma Gnyan one has to renounce the attachment.  He said to His devotees who were present, “My treasury is full and I can give any one, what he wants, but I have to see, whether he is qualified to receive My gift. If you listen to me carefully, you will be certainly benefitted. While sitting in this Masjid I never speak any untruth” (Sai Satcharita Ch: 16 & 17)

He can give the Self Realization, the absolute knowledge health and power to those who seek them through Him. He is Riddhi Siddhi Daya.
